1．はじめに

　2005年9月，スウェーデンの呼吸器感染症患者の鼻咽頭液から抽出したDNAを元に新しいウイルスがクローニングされた^1,2)．このウイルスは，塩基配列からパルボウイルス科パルボウイルス亜科ボカウイルス属に分類され，ヒトボカウイルス(human bocavirus；HBoV)と名付けられた．本稿では，HBoVのウイルス学的特徴，HBoV感染症の疫学，臨床症状，検出法，抗体測定法と血清疫学，治療法を概説したうえで，実際の症例を紹介したい．
