漢方薬・生薬成分は腸内細菌により代謝を受けて効き目を発揮する

　漢方薬は経口的に用いられるため，ヒト消化管内で腸内嫌気性菌によって代謝を受ける．特に配糖体は消化管上部では吸収されにくく，大腸まで輸送され，そこで代謝され薬効を現す．ヒト腸内細菌フローラには個人差があり，漢方薬の薬効に個人差を生じやすい．
