Helicobacter pylori感染と免疫応答

　Helicobacter pyloriは小児期に胃に感染し，多くは生涯にわたる持続感染となる．この感染において，血中抗体価は上昇し，胃粘膜での特異IgAも確認できるものの，胃からの除菌は起こらない．感染胃は慢性胃炎となっており，胃内での免疫反応がかえって粘膜傷害を起こしていると考えられている．感染胃粘膜ではTh1反応が優位となっており，TLRを代表とする自然免疫系の賦活やIL-8などによる非特異免疫反応も，これと関連しながら持続的粘膜傷害を起こしていると思われる．ワクチンの検討も行われているが，ヒトでの実用化にはまだ多くの問題がある．
