1.はじめに

 悪性腫瘍は,世界的に罹患率および死亡率において最も重要な疾患であり,難治性疾患として今後も診断,治療など様々な面から新たな研究アプローチが必要とされている.近年,手術療法,抗癌剤治療,放射線治療,分子標的薬治療に加え,様々な腫瘍免疫療法の基礎研究,臨床研究が行われるようになった.腫瘍免疫療法は,樹状細胞やTリンパ球などの免疫細胞を用いた細胞療法,補体系やADCC(antibody dependent cell cytotoxicity)活性を利用したモノクローナル抗体療法などの多岐にわたるが,免疫応答(炎症)の主役を担うサイトカインおよびケモカインをアジュバント(免疫賦活剤)あるいは免疫担当細胞や腫瘍細胞に遺伝子導入して用いられるワクチン細胞療法(免疫遺伝子治療)が,有害事象の少ない新規治療法として注目を集めている1)

 本稿では,後者の免疫遺伝子治療にかかわる近年の報告を中心に展望を述べる.
