12) ネフローゼ症候群

ネフローゼ症候群は，大量の蛋白尿によって生じる低蛋白血症や脂質異常症・浮腫を伴う症候群であり，一次性糸球体疾患によって生じる一次性とその他の原因による二次性に分類される．免疫系の調節不全，免疫複合体や補体による組織障害などが原因として想定され，副腎皮質ステロイド薬や免疫抑制薬が一定の効果を上げているものの，一次性ネフローゼ症候群の原因となる疾患の病態は明らかになっていない部分が大きい．近年，細胞生物学的アプローチから糸球体濾過障壁の構成成分であるポドサイトの障害がネフローゼ症候群の病態形成に重要であることが判明してきた．
