骨の破壊と再生

文献購入ページに移動骨の形態と機能は,骨吸収を担う破骨細胞,骨形成を担う骨芽細胞,さらに骨細胞,軟骨細胞などの働きによって維持されている.骨の再生を支える医療を実現するには,カップリング因子をはじめ,これらの細胞の細胞間相互作用を担う分子機構を解明することが鍵となる.カップリング因子とは,破骨細胞に由来し,骨芽細胞を骨吸収窩に呼び込み,分化させ,骨形成を活性化する概念上の因子であり,今後その本体が明らかになっていくであろう.
