文献購入ページに移動欧米白人種の血栓性素因は,15年ほど前に凝固系第Ⅴ因子の変異〔Factor Ⅴ Leiden(R506Q)〕であることが明らかとなり,その血栓症対策は急速に進歩した.一方,黒人やアジア人など欧米白人以外の人種では,血栓性素因は別の要因であると推測されてきたが,最近の筆者らの研究結果から,日本人の血栓性素因は凝固制御因子プロテインSの遺伝子変異であることが判明した.アジア各国からの同様の結果の報告などと考え合わせると,この蛋白質の遺伝子変異が日本人のみならずアジア人の血栓性素因であることが証明されつつある.今後は,凝固系第Ⅴ因子とプロテインS凝固制御因子の関係を詳細に研究し,アジア人の血栓症発症予防と治療対策,ならびにプロテインS異常症の正確・簡便な検査法の開発を推進すべきと考えている.
