文献購入ページに移動脂肪細胞は,レプチンの発見以来,様々なペプチドホルモンやサイトカインなど生理活性物質を産生・分泌する内分泌細胞であると考えられるようになってきた.脂肪細胞から分泌される生理活性物質はアディポカイン(アディポサイトカイン)と総称されるが,食欲・代謝・循環・生殖など,様々な生理機能の調節に,中枢性および末梢性に重要な作用を担っており,代謝症候群・糖尿病・高血圧などの病態に関与している事実が明らかになってきた.本稿では,アディポカインのうち,ペプチドホルモンに焦点をしぼり概説したい.
