Pneumocystis jirovecii

●ニューモシスチス肺炎（PCP）は基本的に重篤な疾患であり，救命のためには早期診断および早期治療が極めて重要である．

●ほかの真菌と異なり培養されないため，確定診断は気道由来検体の直接鏡検によって菌体を証明する必要がある．臨床症状や画像所見，血中β-D-グルカン値，PCR法などの遺伝子検査の結果から，総合的に診断されることも少なくない．

●Pneumocystis jiroveciiは，ヒト-ヒト感染することが証明されており，免疫不全患者における院内伝播にも十分な注意が必要である．
