　液体クロマトグラフィ-タンデム質量分析法（LC-MS/MS法）を比較対照に，カルニチン測定試薬KDK-1201の性能評価を行った．透析患者187例，バルプロ酸ナトリウム製剤（VPA）投与患者44例および健康成人50例の合計281例におけるLC-MS/MS法とKDK-1201との相関は，総カルニチンでr＝0.984，遊離カルニチンでr＝0.990と良好な相関が示された．
