●黄色ブドウ球菌は多様なエンテロトキシンを産生する.現在,古典型SEA~SEEに加え,新型SEG~SElXまで報告されている.

●ブドウ球菌食中毒の診断は細菌を検査するだけでなく,本菌が産生するエンテロトキシンの検査と型別が必要である.

●古典型と新型エンテロトキシン遺伝子を包括的に検出できるmultiplex PCRが開発されている.
