●心筋梗塞や脳梗塞などの動脈血栓症は，数分間で急速に進行し，死に至ることもある重篤な疾患である．また，命をとりとめた場合にも，日常生活動作が低下し，寝たきりになってしまう症例が少なくない．

●血栓症を予知するための検査法を確立し，それを利用して血栓症を予防するための策を講ずることは，現代社会の急務である．

●近年開発された血流下血栓形成能解析システム（T-TAS®）は，血栓止血領域の負荷試験として応用できる可能性がある．
