●わが国ではマクロライド系薬に耐性を示す肺炎マイコプラズマ（MRMP）は2003年ごろから増加し始め，2011年の大流行時には分離株の約90％を占めた．世界各国においてもMRMPは増加しつつある．

●MRMPの耐性メカニズムは，薬剤の作用標的であるリボソームの23S rRNA上に生じた点突然変異である．

●MRMP感染例では，発熱や咳嗽などの臨床症状が遷延化する．
