Point

●ヒト免疫不全ウイルス（HIV），ヒトT細胞白血病ウイルスtype 1（HTLV-1）はともに母子感染を起こし，母子感染率はHIVが約30％，HTLV-1が約18％と推定されている．母子感染経路のうちHIVは産道感染が比較的多く，HTLV-1はほとんどが母乳感染と考えられている．

●妊婦におけるHIV，HTLV-1の検査は，いずれもスクリーニング検査をまず行い，陽性ならHIVはWB検査とPCR検査両方を，HTLV-1はWB検査を確認検査として行う．

●HIV母子感染予防の中心は妊婦への抗レトロウイルス薬（ARV）の投与である．近年のARTの進歩・普及とともに世界的に母子感染は減少し，予防方法も変化している．

●HTLV-1母子感染予防は完全母乳遮断が唯一の方法であるが，母乳以外の感染経路の可能性や母乳遮断の短所など，今後議論・検討すべき点が残されている．
