POINT

●ヒト免疫不全ウイルス（HIV）感染症は抗HIV療法により予後が改善し，代謝性合併症や悪性腫瘍などの長期的合併症の管理の重要性が増している．

●HIV感染症の初期評価として，HIV感染症自体の検査のほかに，日和見感染症，性感染症，長期的合併症などの評価およびそれらの予防を行う．

●B型肝炎などの性感染症や日和見感染症を疑う患者では，積極的にHIVスクリーニング検査を行う（筆者補足）．
