●抗ヒト免疫不全ウイルス（HIV）療法の進歩によりHIV感染者の予後は改善し，日和見感染症の減少のみならず，後天性免疫不全症候群（AIDS）指標悪性腫瘍（ADC）である非Hodgkinリンパ腫（NHL）およびKaposi肉腫（KS）の頻度は低下した．
●HIV感染者の死因として，非AIDS指標悪性腫瘍（NADC）をはじめとする非AIDS関連疾患の重要性が増している．
●HIV感染者では，非HIV感染者に比べ，大腸・直腸癌，膵臓癌，喉頭癌，肺癌，メラノーマ，乳癌，前立腺癌の予後が不良である．
