Point

●肥満や糖尿病といった病態では多様性の低下などの腸内細菌叢の破綻(dysbiosis)がみられ,糖代謝異常の発生や増悪の原因となる.

●短鎖脂肪酸,胆汁酸(BA),イミダゾールプロピオン酸をはじめとする腸内細菌由来代謝産物は宿主の耐糖能に影響を与える.

●ヒトの常在菌であるAkkermansia muciniphilaは腸管バリア機能維持に重要な役割を果たす菌であり,代謝異常への治療応用が期待されている.
