はじめに

 神経画像・神経生理学的検査法を精神疾患の脳病態解明に用いるばかりでなく,補助診断法として臨床応用しようとする機運が高まっている。脳磁図(magnetoencephalography;MEG)検査法は,非侵襲的に,高時間・空間解像度で神経細胞群の電気的活動をとらえる方法であり,てんかんの術前検査として保険収載されている(D236-3神経磁気診断,5,000点)。脳磁図はその非侵襲性と高時間・空間解像度から,精神疾患における脳機能障害の特徴を鋭敏にとらえる可能性があり,臨床診断法として実用化される期待が大きい検査法の一つである。本稿では,統合失調症および感情障害における脳磁図研究を概観し,補助診断法としての可能性や実用化に向けての取り組みについて紹介する。
