はじめに

　2006年11月に筆者は横浜で第4回DLB/PDD国際ワークショップを開催した際に「30 Years since That Time：あれから30年」と題して会長講演をした。その講演では1976年の筆者らの最初の論文¹⁷⁾以来ちょうど30年になるので，これを機会に，世界から集まったこの領域の専門家に筆者らのこれまでの論文を中心に紹介した。そこで，ここでは「レビー小体型認知症をめぐって」という特集を組むに当たってこの30年を振り返ってレビー小体型認知症demenia with Lewy bodies(DLB)の筆者らの研究の一端を紹介することにする。
