新潟県中越地震が子どもの行動に与えた影響

　2004年に発生した新潟県中越地震後の子どもの行動変化に影響する因子を明らかにする目的でアンケート調査を行った。対象は，研究の趣旨に同意した688名である。我々は先の研究で，震災後，38％の子どもに行動変化が出現し，行動変化の発現には親の精神状態が影響を与えていることを報告したが，本研究の結果より，けが，病気，家屋の被害などの因子も子どもの行動に影響を与え，さらに親の精神状態が悪いほど行動変化が長期間持続するなどの新たな所見が得られた。震災時における子どもの外傷性精神症状の予防，治療には，物質的な援助や子ども自身のケアとともに，親への精神的サポートも重要であることが示唆される。
