“See me”キャンペーン（www.seemescotland.org/）は2002年に公式に立ち上げられた。2001年以降スコットランドの慈善家によって年に約100万ポンドの基金が提供されている。運営は5つの機構の連携によって行われた［Scottish Association for Mental Health（SAMH）, Support in Mind Scotland, The Royal College of Psychiatrists in Scotland, PenumbraおよびHighland Usersグループ］。その主な活動は一般の人々を対象とするマスメディアによるキャンペーンおよび若年者を含む職場におけるキャンペーンである。精神衛生に関連する記事を報道することを目標とするジャーナリストらも対象となっている。“See Me”はメディアのボランティア集団に対し彼らもまたスティグマや差別体験に関連する精神衛生上の問題を実際に体験し，精神衛生上の問題を抱える人々からインタビューを受けることを勧めた。また，“See Me”は他の組織に対して資料，助言およびガイダンスを提供することを通じて地域レベルでのキャンペーン活動を支援している。
“See Me”の評価には2008年まで2年ごとに繰り返し行われた大衆の態度についての調査が含まれた。既存の検証済みの指標よりもむしろ，スティグマや差別に対する今までとは異なる項目が用いられた。2002～2008年の回答を比較することによって，ほとんどの質問に対して改善が得られたことを示した5)。最も注目されるのは，精神衛生上の問題を抱える人々の中で危険に遭遇したことがしばしばあると答えた人が以前に比べ減少した点である（2002年の30％に比べ2008年は19％であった）。
