性的アディクション—その現状と治療

さまざまな物質および行動的アディクションの中でも，性的アディクションには，明確な被害者が存在するケースが多いという意味において，社会的なインパクトがきわめて大きい。したがって，当然ながらそのようなケースは，性犯罪として刑事司法の対象となる。そもそも，一般の人々のみならず，医療従事者の間でも，性的アディクションは刑事司法の問題であって，医療の問題ではないととらえる傾向が今なお大きい。
また，被害者を伴わず，犯罪的ではない性的アディクションもある。複数の性的パートナーと性行為を反復したり，強迫的なマスターベーションやポルノグラフィの使用(インターネットや「アダルトビデオ・DVD」など)，さらには，いわゆる「風俗店」通いがやめられずに，大きな借金を負ったりするようなケースがこれに当たる。
