光の非視覚性作用—覚醒度および認知機能の修飾作用

文献購入ページに移動抄録 光の視覚以外への作用を非視覚作用と呼び,非視覚作用の1つに認知機能に対する作用がある。光の認知機能に対する主な効果は覚醒度の増加と考えられている。一般的に網膜に入射した光は内因性光感受性神経節細胞を介して視交叉上核に到達し,視床,青斑核,皮質など広範な脳部位の賦活により急性の覚醒効果を発揮すると考えられている。光による覚醒効果はより高い照度,より短い波長,およびより高い色温度で覚醒度を高める。光が覚醒水準および認知機能に及ぼす影響とそのメカニズムは未解明な点も多く,さらなるエビデンスの蓄積が求められている。
