自殺の医療人類学—生きづらさへの文化的視点

抄録　自殺予防がグローバルに精神医学の重要な課題となる中で，自殺の背景にある「生きづらさ」がいかにローカルな歴史・政治・経済的状況の中で形成されるのかがあらためて問われている。本論では医療人類学の視点から，第一に自殺予防のために台頭しつつあるデジタル精神医学の現状と，そこで問題となる共感の困難さについて論じる。第二に医療人類学的視点から，カナダ北部，南米チリ，そして日本で行われている自殺・うつ病予防プロジェクトのエスノグラフィーを紹介し，何がローカルな生きづらさと感じられ，どのような社会的・医学的介入こそが配慮的(ケアリング)として経験されるのかを問う。第三に，オランダで議論となっている認知症と安楽死の問題を論じ，自殺をめぐる精神医学において新たに浮上している課題について人類学の視点から考察する。
