抄録
　米国精神医学会の診断基準はDSM-5-TRとして2022年に改訂された。DSM-5-TRにおける食行動症及び摂食症群の記述は，疫学的な研究，神経生物学的な研究の進展を背景として，いくらか変化した。このカテゴリの精神障害は臨床家によって見逃されていることが多いが，DSM-5-TRでは，異食症，反芻症，神経性やせ症，回避・制限性食物摂取症，神経性過食症，むちゃ食い症の有病率が新たに記載されて，これらが稀な状態ではないことが啓発され，その一方で，過剰診断や過小診断を防ぐための工夫がいくつか盛り込まれた。成人のBMIが19.0 kg/m²以上であるとき，児童や青年のBMIがその年齢におけるBMI中央値よりも大きいときに神経性やせ症の診断を除外するように明記されたことは変化の1つである。神経性やせ症に関するゲノムワイド研究や神経画像研究が紹介され，神経性やせ症，神経性過食症，むちゃ食い症における自殺関連行動の危険が強調されたことは摂食症と他の精神障害との関係を示唆している。
