東北メディカル・メガバンク事業—コホート調査の災害精神医学における役割

抄録
　東日本大震災が発生した翌年，東北大学に東北メディカル・メガバンク機構と災害科学国際研究所が発足した。前者は岩手医科大学いわて東北メディカル・メガバンク機構とともに15万人からなるコホート調査を行う中で，被災に伴うメンタルヘルスへの影響の把握，支援活動を行った。後者の中に設置された災害精神医学分野は七ヶ浜町と共同で同町の大規模半壊以上の家屋被災者を対象に年1回の健康調査を10年間にわたって継続したほか，前者の事業の中でメンタルヘルスの評価や調査によるハイリスク者へのサポートを担当した。これらの被災地域のメンタルヘルスに関する調査と支援を組み合わせた取り組みは，災害精神医学に関する知見の蓄積とエビデンスに基づく災害後のメンタルヘルス支援の向上に有益であることが期待される。
