 統合失調症やサイコーシス発症リスク状態では事象関連電位(event-related potentials:ERPs)の異常が知られており,これまで数多くの研究が行われている。P300,ミスマッチ陰性電位(mismatch negativity:MMN)がよく測定されており,それぞれ,将来の診断や機能を予測するバイオマーカーの候補として注目されている。中でも持続長MMN(duration MMN:dMMN)は多くの研究で有意な結果が得られている。ERPsをバイオマーカーとして用いるには,それぞれの意義や特徴を理解し,投薬や併存症としての気分症や自閉スペクトラム症などの影響を考慮する必要がある。最近はマルチモダリティ研究,機械学習による研究も登場しており,ERPsがより精緻に診断や転帰を予測できるツールとして実装されることが期待される。
