A 発達障害の1つである自閉スペクトラム症（ASD）や注意欠如・多動症（ADHD）の子どもたちもゲームを楽しんでいますが，ASDの子どもたちはオンラインゲームなどのコミュニティ上の人間関係で苦労をすることもあります。一方で，ADHDの子どもたちは情動調節の問題，約束事の問題，ガチャなどの課金の問題がしばしば臨床では話題になります。また，ADHDに関してはゲームに嗜癖的になりやすいことが知られています。
