身体症状症を難治化させる要因とその対処法

　身体症状症は，身体症状に対する反応としての過度な思考，感情または行動に基づいて診断される。また，精神疾患における「難治例」とは，症状が通常の治療法では治りにくい，または治療効果が不十分である症例を示すことが多い。しかし，身体症状症の患者は，ほかの精神疾患の患者と異なり，症状が身体症状であるため，通常の精神科での治療法を導入することさえ困難になる場合が少なくない。そこで，本稿では身体症状症を難治化させる要因とそれらの対処法について解説する。身体症状症の難治化を防ぐためには，個々の患者の危険因子，持続因子，増悪因子などの心理社会的要因を明らかにして，どのように患者の症状に関与しているのかを検討し，それらの要因に対処することが重要である。
