うつ病のバイオマーカーとしての脳由来神経栄養因子

うつ病での脳由来神経栄養因子(BDNF)に関して論じた。BDNFは脳脊髄液中,血中(血清・血漿)ともにうつ病では健常者と比較して低下していた。さらに抑うつ状態の程度とも関連している可能性もあり,うつ病のバイオマーカーの1つの候補になりうる可能性がある。BDNFは脳以外の組織でも産生されるために,血中BDNFが脳内動態を反映しているという証左はない。つまり,なぜ末梢BDNF濃度がうつ病で低下しており,治療的介入で増加することに関しての機序は不明である。
