　A50-year-old woman patient visited Toranomon Hospital with the chief complaint of epigastric pain since January, 1981. X-ray examination of the stomach done on May 5, 1981 revealed a depressed lesion suspected of malignancy on the posterior wall of the incisura region.

　She had a past history of acute hepatitis at the age of 24. Physical examination was normal. Blood count and blood chemistry were within normal limits. Chest and abdominal plain film were normal.
