文献概要

　20世紀後半にポリペクトミーが行われるようになったが，診断と治療が同時にできるというメリットがある一方，治療が先行し診断が後につけられるという，内視鏡診断学が欠如した奇妙な状況が続いた．すなわちポリープから癌が発生するという理論に振り回され，ポリープ治療が先行する内視鏡的ポリペクトミーが全世界で行われた．
