近年，小腸内視鏡はカプセル内視鏡とダブルバルーン内視鏡の出現によりめざましく進歩した．特にダブルバルーン内視鏡の開発によりこれまで非常に困難であった深部小腸の内視鏡治療が比較的容易に行えるようになった．本稿ではまず小腸の良性腫瘍・腫瘍性病変の種類，頻度，症状，および内視鏡治療の適応について概説する．次にわれわれが経験したPeutz-Jeghers症候群の小腸ポリープ，リンパ管腫，迷入膵の内視鏡下摘除の症例を呈示し，その有用性，偶発症について報告する．また，内視鏡治療後のフォローアップにカプセル内視鏡を使用した経験についても述べる．
