collagenous colitisの疫学と病因

要旨　欧米ではcollagenous colitisおよびlymphocytic colitisは慢性水様性下痢の原因の10～20％を占めると考えられている．疫学研究の結果から，collagenous colitisの人口10万人当たりの年間発病率は2.3～7.1と報告されており，近年，増加傾向にある．発症年齢は58～70歳であり，性比は女性が83～89％を占めている．collagenous colitisの病因については薬剤起因性の他に遺伝，胆汁酸吸収不良，感染症，一酸化窒素，コラーゲン代謝異常などの関与が考えられている．しかし，いまだ完全に解明されてはいないのが現状である．
