はじめに

 粘液の主体を成すムコ物質はプロテオグリカンと糖蛋白質に大別される.粘液組織化学は,このムコ物質を対象とする組織化学の一分野である.本稿では,粘液の固定法,組織化学的染色の原理とその意義について解説したい.
