CTCにおけるコンピュータ支援検出（CAD）

要旨　近年，大腸癌診療におけるCTC（CT colonography）の需要は高まり，術前診断のみならず大腸癌スクリーニング検査として導入する施設が増加している．前処置法や撮影機器のさらなる開発・改善に伴い，CTCの診断精度は向上し，今後さらなる検査の標準化，普及が進んでいくと考えられている．従来より，CTCの診断精度を保ち，かつ効率的な診断環境を整備するため，コンピュータ支援検出（computer-aided detection ; CAD）の研究開発が欧米を中心に積極的に進められてきた．CTCにおけるCADは優れた病変検出能を有しており，病変の見落としの防止や読影時間の短縮が可能である．大腸癌スクリーニング検査としてCTCが普及するに従い，読影医の負担軽減や読影医間での病変検出能の差を軽減するために，CADの併用が必須となるであろう．
