Cowden病（Cowden's disease）

　Cowden病は1963年にLloydら^1）によって初めて報告され，その患者名が名前の由来である．PTEN遺伝子の変異が原因と報告されている．常染色体優性遺伝とされるが^2），本邦では孤発性の報告が多い．

　特徴的所見として，（1） 顔面の外毛根鞘腫，乳頭腫性丘疹などの皮膚病変，（2） 消化管ポリポーシス，（3） 多臓器の多彩な腫瘍性病変が挙げられる．消化管ポリープは組織学的には過形成性または過誤腫性のポリポーシスであり，食道に高頻度に認められるびまん性ポリポーシスが他の消化管ポリポーシスとの鑑別点の1つとなる（Fig. 1）．
