要旨●Helicobacter pylori除菌治療により，胃腫瘍には特異的な形態変化が生じる．既知の胃腫瘍症例に除菌治療を行ったところ，除菌後約1か月において，内視鏡的に表面隆起型腫瘍は平坦化，不明瞭化した．さらに，病理組織学的にも特異的変化が惹起された．腺腫表層には正常腺過上皮に極めて類似した上皮が高頻度に出現し，癌組織においては，表層に軽度の異型性を示す上皮が正常非腫瘍上皮とともに出現することが明らかとなった．これらの上皮の由来に関しては現時点では不明であるが，腫瘍組織が除菌治療により分化（非腫瘍化）して生じる可能性も否定できない．
