定義と意義
1．CSPの定義と普及した背景
　CSP（cold snare polypectomy）とは従来スネアでポリープを絞扼した後，通電してポリープ切除を行っていたものを，通電せずに機械的に切除する方法で，PubMedで“cold polypectomy”として検索すると，1992年の「Gastrointestinal Endoscopy」誌が最初の報告である^1）．その後，主に欧米にて導入され，近年，本邦においてもその簡便さ，安全性から注目を集めている^2）．
