疾患の概念
　perineurioma（神経周膜腫）は，軟部組織と神経に生じるまれな良性末梢神経鞘腫で，消化管，特に大腸で発生することがある．2004年にEslami-Varzanehら^1）は，大腸，特にS状結腸・直腸に発生した，粘膜内に線維芽細胞様の紡錘形細胞の増殖を伴うポリープを良性線維芽細胞性ポリープ（benign fibroblastic polyp ; BFP）として報告した．その後，病理組織学的および免疫組織化学的にBFPはperineuriomaと同様の特徴を呈することが示され^2），現在ではBFPはperineuriomaと同一病変と認識される．これまでに再発や転移の報告はなく，良性腫瘍と考えられる^1）3）4）．
