要旨●大腸癌死を減らすためには早期発見が重要である．免疫学的便潜血反応検査（fecal immunochemical test ; FIT）が大腸癌のスクリーニング検査として普及しているが，さらなる高精度かつ非侵襲的なスクリーニング方法の確立が望まれる．これまでに，便中遺伝子マーカーを用いた便検査が大腸癌早期発見に有用であるとの研究成果が数多く報告されてきた．また，複数のマーカーを組み合わせることで，FITよりも高感度が得られることも報告されている．今後，より簡便かつ高精度な検査方法が開発され，検査コストが低下し，便中遺伝子検査が実用化されることが期待される．
