疾患の概念
　食道に発生する神経性腫瘍として，神経鞘腫，神経線維腫，顆粒細胞腫などが挙げられる．
　神経鞘腫（Schwannoma）はSchwann細胞由来の腫瘍で，頭頸部や四肢などに好発する．消化管に発生する神経鞘腫は少なく，腸管筋層間に存在するAuerbach神経叢より発生し，胃，十二指腸，空腸，回腸の順に多いとされるが，食道ではまれとされる．
