概念・定義
　腺腔形成に乏しいかほとんどみられない腺癌を低分化腺癌（por）と呼ぶ．低分化腺癌は充実型低分化腺癌（por1）と非充実型低分化腺癌（por2）に大別され，両者は組織発生やゲノム異常，生物学的振る舞いが異なるため区別する必要がある．
　微小癌として発見される癌の組織型は印環細胞癌（sig）か高分化管状腺癌のみであり，基本的に発生当初にはpor1やpor2の癌は存在しない．一般に，por1は管状腺癌や乳頭腺癌から変化して生じ，これらの分化型癌と同様，主に高齢者の腸上皮化生を伴う萎縮性粘膜に発生し，2型病変を形成することが多く，静脈侵襲を来し肝転移などの血行性転移を示しやすい．一方，por2は主にsig，あるいはその他の組織型から変化して生じ，高齢者の萎縮性粘膜に加え，若年者の腸上皮化生のない粘膜にも発生し，3型や4型病変を形成する．リンパ行性転移や腹膜播種を来しやすい．
