概念・定義
　胃底腺型胃癌は，胃底腺への分化を示す分化型腺癌である．Ueyamaら^1）が2010年に新しいタイプの胃癌として提唱し，「胃癌取扱い規約 第15版」^2）から“胃底腺型腺癌（adenocarcinoma of fundic gland type）”という名称で特殊型組織型の一亜型として掲載された．
　胃底腺細胞に類似した細胞から成り，免疫染色でpepsinogen I（主細胞のマーカー）またはH^＋/K^＋-ATPase（壁細胞のマーカー）陽性が必須である．早期に粘膜下層に浸潤するが，脈管侵襲やリンパ節転移は極めてまれで，予後良好な腫瘍である^1）．
