はじめに
　H. pylori（Helicobacter pylori）感染率の低下に伴い，従来経験してきた胃上皮性腫瘍（腺腫・腺癌）とは異なる様相を呈する病変に遭遇する機会が増えてきた．H. pylori未感染胃上皮性腫瘍の症例報告も増え，前回の特集から6年が経過していることもあり，改めて現状を把握する必要があると考え本特集を企画した．
