はじめに
　欧米におけるBarrett食道表在癌に対する標準的治療はvisible lesionに対するEMR＋残Barrett粘膜に対する焼灼療法とされている^1）．主な焼灼療法はRFA（radiofrequency ablation）^2）〜4）だが，近年ではballoonを用いた新しいcryotherapyが開発され，臨床応用されている^5）6）．本稿では，ドイツにおけるcryotherapyの現状に関して解説する．
