要旨●食道隆起性病変として，非腫瘍性ポリープは鑑別すべき疾患の一つである．これらのポリープは良性疾患であるため，治療前に適切に診断し，過剰な治療を避けなければならない．本稿ではpyogenic granuloma，fibrovascular polyp，inflammatory fibroid polyp，esophagogastric polypを代表的疾患として取り上げ，その病理学的特徴を提示するとともに最近の知見について解説した．esophagogastric polypを除き，これらは発生頻度の高い疾患ではないが，食道疾患の診療において常に鑑別疾患として認識すべきである．また，一部の疾患は病理組織学的に異型細胞が出現するため，悪性腫瘍が疑われる場合がある．誤診を避ける意味でもこれらの病理組織像を理解しておくことは臨床的にも重要である．
