Peutz-Jeghers症候群

　Peutz-Jeghers症候群（Peutz-Jeghers Syndrome ; PJS）は，食道を除く消化管の過誤腫性ポリポーシス，口唇，口腔，指趾を中心とする皮膚，粘膜の色素斑，常染色体優性遺伝を3主徴とする疾患で，PeutzとJeghersら^1）により報告された．PJSの原因遺伝子として第19番染色体短腕上（19p13.3）に存在するLKB1/STK11遺伝子が特定されている^2）．
　PJSのポリープは食道を除く全消化管に認められ，特に十二指腸〜上部空腸に多く認められる．大きさはさまざまで，大きくなるに従い分葉状，有茎性となる（Fig.1）．病理学的には過誤腫で，巨大なポリープでなければ腫瘍の合併はまれである．粘膜上皮の過形成と粘膜筋板から樹枝状に増生した平滑筋線維束を認めることが特徴である．
