　「サイクロップス（cyclops）」とは，ヘレネス神話やギリシャ神話に登場する，額にただ一つ目を持つ巨人につけられた名前です．「サイクロップス」という言葉は「丸い目」を意味します．

　なぜこの神話に出てくる一つ目の巨人が『臨床整形外科』に取り上げられたのでしょうか．
