　胸椎後縦靱帯骨化症（OPLL）に対する34施設の多施設後ろ向き研究調査の結果を報告した．症例は手術後1年以上の追跡調査が可能であった154例（男性62例，女性92例，平均年齢56.8歳）である．JOAスコアの平均改善率は37％であり，modified Frankel分類で一段階以上の改善が得られた症例は107例（69.5％）であり，手術により一定の改善が得られていた．成績に関与する因子はインストゥルメンテーションの併用，上位胸椎部のOPLLであった．術後脊髄症状の悪化18例（11.7％），硬膜損傷・髄液漏34例（22.1％）などの合併症の発生が多くみられた．
